A KI Mail for New Explorers

FROM: DimensionTravelerCalum
SUBJECT: Welcome to D’ni!

[click and scroll to read but don’t type as it affects everyone]

You’re no doubt wondering about this grand and vast place you’ve stumbled upon, feeling “Called” to something you just don’t quite understand. For now, that’s just fine. If you’re reading this message, then you’ve taken the first step towards understanding this “Call” thing: Getting your KI!

The KI [Pronounced “Key”] is a piece of inter-age communication technology that functions much like a cell phone: You can take pictures, write text documents like this one, and then send them to others! [For more information on the KI: See the Purple Journal in your local neighborhood classroom!]

Unlike a cellphone, however, the KI, as the name implies, functions as a Key to several doors and abilities you won’t be able to access otherwise! The most important door is the Nexus: A mass transit age designed to allow quick transportation between different areas of D’ni and the various ages! You can find a Nexus book located to the left of the terminal you took your KI from.

If you’re looking for friendly tips and advice, Check out the Guild of Greeter’s Hood (at the top of the Nexus’ Public Link’s Folder) or head to the City of Ae’gura (via City Links in the Nexus). Almost everyone to anyone you meet there will be willing to help you out! (and if they aren’t then they just don’t know what they’re missing out on!)

Remember: Fresh eyes and new Explorers are always welcome down here! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

If you’re looking to learn about the history of the Cavern within recent times, head to {www.rel.to/historydoc} to learn about the First and Second Restoration attempts, and to learn how this affects you in the Cavern as it stands today!

Once you’re situated with the KI’s interface, there’s no better place to start than the Cleft! You can find it via the central pillar on your Relto Island!

So, Again, Welcome to D’ni!

We hope you enjoy your stay!
