(01/20 11:52:46) Chat.log started…
(01/20 11:52:51) DimensionTravelerCalum: shorah all, :)
(01/20 11:52:56) Atiyamaria: come on stiler
(01/20 11:53:21) DimensionTravelerCalum: I know thee have been some troubling times over the last week or so,
(01/20 11:53:27) DimensionTravelerCalum: But i do hope that everyone is doing well,
(01/20 11:53:46) DimensionTravelerCalum: :)
(01/20 11:53:46) Purple Phase is untroubled
(01/20 11:54:01) DaVinci: as soon has I get this tooth fixed I will be wonderful
(01/20 11:54:04) DaVinci roars with laughter
(01/20 11:54:11) DimensionTravelerCalum: glad to hear it vinci, :)
(01/20 11:54:33) From DimensionTravelerCalum in Heritage Night’s Hood: HN in FIVE!
(01/20 11:54:41) DimensionTravelerCalum: HN begins in five minutes all, :)
(01/20 11:54:54) DimensionTravelerCalum: So just a little more patience, and then we’ll start. hehehe
(01/20 11:55:04) DaVinci taps foot
(01/20 11:55:06) Purple Phase has a pair of pliers in her back pak and offers the use of them to DaVinci
(01/20 11:55:25) DimensionTravelerCalum: before we begin however, id like to make note of an observation a friend of mine made recently.
(01/20 11:55:30) DaVinci: I will take that offer Purple :)
(01/20 11:55:32) Purple Phase: with operator if required
(01/20 11:55:35) DimensionTravelerCalum: Even though we all come down here for similar reasons,
(01/20 11:55:43) DimensionTravelerCalum: We all have different life views of this place.
(01/20 11:55:55) Purple Phase: we sure do
(01/20 11:56:02) DimensionTravelerCalum: The actions one person takes may be different from what actions another might take under the same circumstances,
(01/20 11:56:09) DimensionTravelerCalum: Nobody’s perfect, after all,
(01/20 11:56:56) DimensionTravelerCalum: with that said, id like to remind everyone that events in history are often obscured by emotions and thoughts,
(01/20 11:57:05) Criswell: I hope we can heal and get past this – it almost seems like this is a war zone these days …
(01/20 11:57:14) DimensionTravelerCalum: Decisions once thought right are cast into doubt by a future generation….
(01/20 11:57:20) DimensionTravelerCalum: :)
(01/20 11:57:26) DimensionTravelerCalum: Yeah, cris, exactly that.
(01/20 11:57:31) Purple Phase: history is a good teacher
(01/20 11:57:35) DimensionTravelerCalum: so no matter what troubls might be in d’ni right now,
(01/20 11:57:41) DimensionTravelerCalum: We need to understand the history of it all,
(01/20 11:57:45) DimensionTravelerCalum: And at the same time,
(01/20 11:57:52) Criswell: and we can’t blame veovis this time :(
(01/20 11:57:55) DimensionTravelerCalum: We need to prevent it from repeating, as history is want to do.
(01/20 11:58:06) DimensionTravelerCalum: so with that said,
(01/20 11:58:08) DimensionTravelerCalum: We’ll begin
(01/20 11:58:16) From DimensionTravelerCalum in Heritage Night’s Hood: HN starting NAO!
(01/20 11:58:31) DimensionTravelerCalum digs out a book from his jacket and places it before him
(01/20 11:58:56) DimensionTravelerCalum: Briefly to recap,
(01/20 11:59:04) DimensionTravelerCalum: And to quote HN’s founder, Carl Palmner,
(01/20 11:59:13) DimensionTravelerCalum: When we came to the cavern in 2006,
(01/20 11:59:18) DimensionTravelerCalum: We were not the first.
(01/20 11:59:27) pcdog: Hi dtc
(01/20 11:59:29) DimensionTravelerCalum: There’d been another restoration
(01/20 11:59:29) pcdog waves hello
(01/20 11:59:33) DimensionTravelerCalum: And that had ended badly,
(01/20 11:59:40) DimensionTravelerCalum: With the apparent death of one Phil Henderson,
(01/20 11:59:54) DimensionTravelerCalum: If you’ve missed those last two weeks,
(01/20 11:59:59) DimensionTravelerCalum: You can re-read them on the HN website,
(01/20 12:00:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: (HeritageNight.wordpress.com)
(01/20 12:00:14) DimensionTravelerCalum: Or on the Myst Community or Myst Online forums.
(01/20 12:00:34) DimensionTravelerCalum: (Just look for Heritage Night 2013 for those threads)
(01/20 12:01:00) DimensionTravelerCalum: So, as we return to the storu,
(01/20 12:01:02) DimensionTravelerCalum: Story*
(01/20 12:01:11) DimensionTravelerCalum: The DRC, formerly made upp of five members,
(01/20 12:01:16) DimensionTravelerCalum: was now short one,
(01/20 12:01:20) DimensionTravelerCalum: dr. Richard Watson,
(01/20 12:01:32) DimensionTravelerCalum: He had gone missing shortly after Phil had been declared dead,
(01/20 12:01:44) DimensionTravelerCalum: And nobody could blame him,
(01/20 12:01:56) DimensionTravelerCalum: Even though the funding for the first restoration was no more,
(01/20 12:02:01) DimensionTravelerCalum: The remaining DRC,
(01/20 12:02:16) DimensionTravelerCalum: Kodama, Sutherland, Laxman, and Engberg,
(01/20 12:02:29) DimensionTravelerCalum: Decided that they would work through a second restoration
(01/20 12:02:31) DimensionTravelerCalum: All on their own
(01/20 12:02:48) DimensionTravelerCalum: Anyone who wanted to return to do the same jobs they held before were welcome to do such,
(01/20 12:02:57) GHMagic: thx MsD Meena
(01/20 12:03:01) DimensionTravelerCalum: But there wasn’t any money involved yet
(01/20 12:03:11) GHMagic waves hello
(01/20 12:03:12) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was during this time that many things were tried,
(01/20 12:03:24) DimensionTravelerCalum: The DRC tried to get the explorers more involved with the restoration
(01/20 12:03:32) DimensionTravelerCalum: So five explorers were voted up to be “Liasions”
(01/20 12:03:39) DimensionTravelerCalum: this fiasco backfired.
(01/20 12:03:41) DimensionTravelerCalum: Majorly.
(01/20 12:04:03) DimensionTravelerCalum: Those five explorers, if they’re still around, would probably not want to talk about it.
(01/20 12:04:28) DimensionTravelerCalum: even so, the DRC tried to keep things open ended,
(01/20 12:04:35) DimensionTravelerCalum: They tried to advert the mistakes of the past.
(01/20 12:05:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: They even advertized some pictures of a new age that they were renovating, restoring,
(01/20 12:05:11) DimensionTravelerCalum: Eder Delin, it was called,
(01/20 12:05:18) DimensionTravelerCalum: And like the other Eders we were familiar with,
(01/20 12:05:23) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was a garden age,
(01/20 12:05:40) DimensionTravelerCalum: Many people noticed that the picture held similarity to Eder Kemo,
(01/20 12:05:59) DimensionTravelerCalum: And that really came to the fore-front when some clever explorers ‘exported’ the picture off of the imagers it’d been posted to.
(01/20 12:06:08) DimensionTravelerCalum: The DRC were needlessly to say surprised,
(01/20 12:06:16) DimensionTravelerCalum: But explorers had been practicing,
(01/20 12:06:18) DimensionTravelerCalum: Tinkering
(01/20 12:06:37) DimensionTravelerCalum: Some might have even been willing to work with the DRC, if they were offered,
(01/20 12:06:46) DimensionTravelerCalum: And yet life marches on
(01/20 12:06:56) DimensionTravelerCalum: In a room exactly like this,
(01/20 12:07:03) DimensionTravelerCalum: On a day not too dissimilar to this,
(01/20 12:07:09) DimensionTravelerCalum: December 19th, 2006,
(01/20 12:07:19) DimensionTravelerCalum: The DRC were holding one of their new “Town Hall Meetings”
(01/20 12:07:26) DimensionTravelerCalum: It had barely just begun when….
(01/20 12:07:32) DimensionTravelerCalum: Laxman got a KI mail,
(01/20 12:07:38) DimensionTravelerCalum: As he opened it up…
(01/20 12:07:41) DimensionTravelerCalum: A Bahro screamed.
(01/20 12:07:46) DimensionTravelerCalum: And it was not just in that hood,
(01/20 12:07:50) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was in the city,
(01/20 12:07:53) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was in the ages,
(01/20 12:07:57) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was on the *surface*
(01/20 12:08:06) DimensionTravelerCalum: A Bahro scream heard across the multiverse.
[bahro scream]
(01/20 12:08:11) DimensionTravelerCalum: Much like that,
(01/20 12:08:15) DimensionTravelerCalum: Except a lot louder, lol
(01/20 12:08:36) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was very much a surprise,
(01/20 12:08:46) DimensionTravelerCalum: Especially when explorers were LINKED away
(01/20 12:08:59) DimensionTravelerCalum: Anyone who heard that scream was linked to a Relto,
(01/20 12:09:05) DimensionTravelerCalum: If they were already on a Relto,
(01/20 12:09:13) DimensionTravelerCalum: They spotted the differences immediately
(01/20 12:09:21) DimensionTravelerCalum: All of their hard earned pages were gone,
(01/20 12:09:25) DimensionTravelerCalum: All of their ages, reset
(01/20 12:09:42) DimensionTravelerCalum: and worst of all?
(01/20 12:09:51) DimensionTravelerCalum: the KI’s were broken to various degrees
(01/20 12:10:10) DimensionTravelerCalum: Ahhem.
(01/20 12:10:21) DimensionTravelerCalum: As I was saying,
(01/20 12:10:26) DimensionTravelerCalum: A lot happened with that scream
(01/20 12:10:32) DimensionTravelerCalum: Now called “The Great Scream”
(01/20 12:10:44) DimensionTravelerCalum: When people worked their way back to D’ni
(01/20 12:10:50) DimensionTravelerCalum: They found stuff to be broken
(01/20 12:10:52) DimensionTravelerCalum: Imagers down,
(01/20 12:11:02) DimensionTravelerCalum: rocks fallen onto pathways in the city,
(01/20 12:11:11) DimensionTravelerCalum: Whole bridges knocked down,
(01/20 12:11:24) DimensionTravelerCalum: Everything was a mess!
(01/20 12:11:39) DimensionTravelerCalum: To this day,
(01/20 12:11:45) DimensionTravelerCalum: nobody knows WHAT caused the scream
(01/20 12:11:57) DimensionTravelerCalum: Or what else it may have done to the universe at large,
(01/20 12:12:08) DimensionTravelerCalum: But what we soon discovered was that a lot of things had changed,
(01/20 12:12:21) DimensionTravelerCalum: in fact,
(01/20 12:12:32) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was around this time of the scream that a new source of funding had approached the DRC
(01/20 12:12:34) DimensionTravelerCalum: Two, in fact
(01/20 12:12:45) DimensionTravelerCalum: one was the woman Cate Alexander,
(01/20 12:12:53) DimensionTravelerCalum: The other was the game company Game Tap
(01/20 12:13:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: Again, nobody could understand why a game corp was investing in D’ni
(01/20 12:13:22) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was but a mystery~!
(01/20 12:13:30) DimensionTravelerCalum: But even so,
(01/20 12:13:34) DimensionTravelerCalum: We all liked Game Tap
(01/20 12:13:38) DimensionTravelerCalum: More so than we did Cate.
(01/20 12:13:52) DimensionTravelerCalum: Maybe it was because of their representative,Blake, who came down to chat on occasion,
(01/20 12:14:05) DimensionTravelerCalum: He was so much more open about things than Cate.
(01/20 12:14:20) DimensionTravelerCalum: Cate was the source of most funding, however,
(01/20 12:14:41) DimensionTravelerCalum: And so, she took more precedence in the explorer’s mind’s eyes.
(01/20 12:15:15) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was an absurd thing, really, but because of the scream, we had to wait for things to be returned to normal
(01/20 12:15:23) DimensionTravelerCalum: So that we once again had what we once had!
(01/20 12:15:30) DimensionTravelerCalum: History repeated itself.
(01/20 12:15:47) DimensionTravelerCalum: And soon the DRC seemed about as big of a target as they did back in the old days.
(01/20 12:15:59) DimensionTravelerCalum: Cate really wasn’t helping matters much.
(01/20 12:16:10) DimensionTravelerCalum: She decided that, once things were ‘normal’
(01/20 12:16:17) DimensionTravelerCalum: The focus would be on ‘new ages~~!!”
(01/20 12:16:29) DimensionTravelerCalum: According to a poll taken among explorers,
(01/20 12:16:42) DimensionTravelerCalum: That was her intent
(01/20 12:16:44) DimensionTravelerCalum: New new new
(01/20 12:16:49) DimensionTravelerCalum: Without modifying the old.
(01/20 12:16:51) DimensionTravelerCalum: Or expanding,
(01/20 12:17:01) DimensionTravelerCalum: barely maintaining, as it were.
(01/20 12:17:16) DimensionTravelerCalum: Once it was deemed “safe” they’d release it.
(01/20 12:17:28) DimensionTravelerCalum: Some would say Cate was the real reason D”ni fell a second time,
(01/20 12:17:32) DimensionTravelerCalum: Others would say otherwise.
(01/20 12:17:44) DimensionTravelerCalum: Some would claim it was doomed by the scream itself.
(01/20 12:17:51) DimensionTravelerCalum: Whatever the case may be,
(01/20 12:18:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: The second restoration was certainly opening with a ‘bang’
(01/20 12:18:20) DimensionTravelerCalum shakes his head
(01/20 12:18:32) DimensionTravelerCalum: Over this ‘restoring’ period
(01/20 12:18:38) DimensionTravelerCalum: Many explorers grew…tense and tired,
(01/20 12:18:45) DimensionTravelerCalum: Waiting for things they knew had worked before.
(01/20 12:18:54) DimensionTravelerCalum: and so the fighting began
(01/20 12:19:03) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was, at first, probably just to ‘pass the time’
(01/20 12:19:08) DimensionTravelerCalum: But because of that,
(01/20 12:19:12) DimensionTravelerCalum: Seeds of dissension grew,
(01/20 12:19:35) DimensionTravelerCalum: All the while,
(01/20 12:19:41) DimensionTravelerCalum: The DRC still tried to keep balance,
(01/20 12:19:52) DimensionTravelerCalum: But it was obvious to anyone that history was about to repeat itself,
(01/20 12:20:00) DimensionTravelerCalum: Durring this period, a group called
(01/20 12:20:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: “The Anti DRC Movement”
(01/20 12:20:10) DimensionTravelerCalum: Or, ADM for short,
(01/20 12:20:16) DimensionTravelerCalum: Rose into prominence,
(01/20 12:20:24) DimensionTravelerCalum: Headed by one Sydney Austen,
(01/20 12:20:36) DimensionTravelerCalum: She would call the DRC’s motives into question,
(01/20 12:20:40) DimensionTravelerCalum: Time and time again,
(01/20 12:20:47) DimensionTravelerCalum: She’d ask things, stir up the situation,
(01/20 12:21:13) DimensionTravelerCalum: It didn’t help that Translator “Pretty Boy” Nick White was siding with her too.
(01/20 12:21:32) DimensionTravelerCalum: He’d helped Sharper with translations during the first restoration,
(01/20 12:21:50) DimensionTravelerCalum: And it didn’t surprise many that Sharper’s un-rest with the DRC had transferred to the boy,
(01/20 12:22:05) DimensionTravelerCalum: But if he’d been another sharper, that might have been fine,
(01/20 12:22:08) DimensionTravelerCalum: But he wasn’t.
(01/20 12:22:13) DimensionTravelerCalum: He was a *flirt*
(01/20 12:22:26) DimensionTravelerCalum: A “Skirt chaser” as it was.
(01/20 12:22:41) Chigun chuckles
(01/20 12:22:44) DimensionTravelerCalum: Rumors floated about that he was romancing random female explorers,
(01/20 12:22:52) DimensionTravelerCalum: And so Sydney used that to her advantage
(01/20 12:23:08) DimensionTravelerCalum: She would pry information out of Nick, somehow
(01/20 12:23:17) Criswell: You say it lik it’s a bad thing, cal :)
(01/20 12:23:21) DimensionTravelerCalum: And he’d tell things the DRC wanted kept secret at the time.
(01/20 12:23:39) DimensionTravelerCalum: The DRC definitely thought it bad,
(01/20 12:23:44) DimensionTravelerCalum: After several months of THAT
(01/20 12:23:52) DimensionTravelerCalum: nick got fired for his behavior.
(01/20 12:24:08) DimensionTravelerCalum: Mostly the ‘secret trading’ thing,
(01/20 12:24:19) DimensionTravelerCalum: But the skirt chaser rumor certainly didn’t help his case any.
(01/20 12:24:41) DimensionTravelerCalum: Explorers were dividing among themselves with all of this,
(01/20 12:24:45) DimensionTravelerCalum: Some siding with the ADM
(01/20 12:24:47) DimensionTravelerCalum: Some with the DRC,
(01/20 12:24:54) DimensionTravelerCalum: Some preferring to be alone,
(01/20 12:25:08) DimensionTravelerCalum: and thanks to a dream that had begun to recur among the explorers
(01/20 12:25:17) DimensionTravelerCalum: The term “Alone or Together” began floating about too.
(01/20 12:25:33) DimensionTravelerCalum: Honestly, if I were whoever was in charge of making that dream,
(01/20 12:25:39) DimensionTravelerCalum: I’d have dropped that line out entirely.
(01/20 12:25:45) DimensionTravelerCalum: It wasn’t helping anyone.
(01/20 12:25:53) DimensionTravelerCalum: And it Still isn’t.
(01/20 12:26:05) DimensionTravelerCalum: we’re only human after all,
(01/20 12:26:24) DimensionTravelerCalum: “if we don’t want to work together, then we shouldn’t have to~”
(01/20 12:26:28) DimensionTravelerCalum: People were reasoning,
(01/20 12:26:37) DimensionTravelerCalum: Fights grew more common,
(01/20 12:26:45) DimensionTravelerCalum: And then the DRC released Eder Delin
(01/20 12:26:53) DimensionTravelerCalum: And at the same time, through a distribution error,
(01/20 12:26:58) DimensionTravelerCalum: The to be released Eder Tsogal.
(01/20 12:27:12) DimensionTravelerCalum: Either the bahro messed with it, or something weird happened
(01/20 12:27:34) DimensionTravelerCalum: Because the DRC pulled the books immediately as soon as they realized people were getting to the sunny swamp over the cool forest
(01/20 12:27:39) DimensionTravelerCalum: But at the same time,
(01/20 12:27:45) DimensionTravelerCalum: Something had changed with the ages
(01/20 12:28:02) DimensionTravelerCalum: Any explorer who had been working with the DRC to help test the ages would confirm this,
(01/20 12:28:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: before release
(01/20 12:28:14) DimensionTravelerCalum: Eder Delin and Tsogal were normal,
(01/20 12:28:19) DimensionTravelerCalum: Gardens.
(01/20 12:28:27) DimensionTravelerCalum: Nothing magical or bahro ish about them.
(01/20 12:28:34) DimensionTravelerCalum: On that botched release…
(01/20 12:28:37) DimensionTravelerCalum: The bahro acted.
(01/20 12:28:41) DimensionTravelerCalum: They carved out tunnels,
(01/20 12:28:45) DimensionTravelerCalum: Added doors and cloths,
(01/20 12:28:53) DimensionTravelerCalum: And placed a puzzle in the ages rather hastily.
(01/20 12:29:13) DimensionTravelerCalum: We could tell it was badly done because,
(01/20 12:29:19) DimensionTravelerCalum: Once explorers managed to figure out Eder Delin…
(01/20 12:29:23) DimensionTravelerCalum: In quite a few many hoods,
(01/20 12:29:27) DimensionTravelerCalum: The doors were *stuck* open.
(01/20 12:29:40) DimensionTravelerCalum: Possibly, though,
(01/20 12:29:50) DimensionTravelerCalum: It may have been an attempt to get the explorers and DRC to work together,
(01/20 12:29:59) DimensionTravelerCalum: Much like the door itself was a puzzle on teamwork,
(01/20 12:30:11) DimensionTravelerCalum: Eventually, the ResEngs got the doors “Working”
(01/20 12:30:17) DimensionTravelerCalum: But only to some degree.
(01/20 12:30:24) DimensionTravelerCalum: The doors STILL break on occasion
(01/20 12:30:41) DimensionTravelerCalum: but they ‘worked’
(01/20 12:30:49) DimensionTravelerCalum: As far as the DRC could understand, anyways.
(01/20 12:31:03) DimensionTravelerCalum: This itself showed us a sign that the DRC were *different* than before.
(01/20 12:31:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: In the past,
(01/20 12:31:21) DimensionTravelerCalum: The DRC would try to remove any Bahro or Yeesha placed object on sight
(01/20 12:31:35) DimensionTravelerCalum: Now they were letting Delin and Tsogal be?
(01/20 12:31:53) DimensionTravelerCalum: Sure, there was *some* investigation,
(01/20 12:31:57) DimensionTravelerCalum: But the DRC let it be.
(01/20 12:32:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was confusing to some,
(01/20 12:32:15) DimensionTravelerCalum: And certainly led to more fights,
(01/20 12:32:22) DimensionTravelerCalum: But the DRC had taken Yeesha’s journey,
(01/20 12:32:26) DimensionTravelerCalum: And as Phil had once said,
(01/20 12:32:33) DimensionTravelerCalum: The journey lets you “feel things”
(01/20 12:32:40) DimensionTravelerCalum: And those doors….
(01/20 12:32:48) DimensionTravelerCalum: They certainly do require a fine touch. haha.
(01/20 12:32:54) DimensionTravelerCalum: One wrong move
(01/20 12:32:56) DimensionTravelerCalum: And it resets.
(01/20 12:33:13) DimensionTravelerCalum: its at this time that the DRC probably went through their age reserves,
(01/20 12:33:17) DimensionTravelerCalum: Looking for anything “Bahro ish”
(01/20 12:33:36) DimensionTravelerCalum: As one of the members would confirm later on,
(01/20 12:33:44) DimensionTravelerCalum: Many of their ages suddenly had bahro artifacts in them.
(01/20 12:33:52) DimensionTravelerCalum: Maybe this was Yeesha’s way of placating us?
(01/20 12:34:01) DimensionTravelerCalum: Or perhaps it wasn’t yeesha at all doing this.
(01/20 12:34:13) DimensionTravelerCalum: The caves were empty save the rings,
(01/20 12:34:20) DimensionTravelerCalum: Not a sound to be heard from the woman.
(01/20 12:34:31) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was unusual,
(01/20 12:34:38) DimensionTravelerCalum: And definitely became a subject of debate.
(01/20 12:34:53) DimensionTravelerCalum: The DRC soon released the Jungle Pod: Negilahn
(01/20 12:35:06) DimensionTravelerCalum: Which a few explorers had heard about in the past.
(01/20 12:35:24) DimensionTravelerCalum: Mostly through a DRC journal/pamphlet that they had discovered between the restorations.
(01/20 12:35:40) DimensionTravelerCalum: It described vast, and various creatures
(01/20 12:35:49) DimensionTravelerCalum: A wide, swampy jungle…
(01/20 12:35:54) DimensionTravelerCalum: And upon finding this pod…
(01/20 12:36:06) DimensionTravelerCalum: explorers found it to be empty.
(01/20 12:36:18) DimensionTravelerCalum: The DRC were claiming ignorance on it,
(01/20 12:36:32) DimensionTravelerCalum: Citing that maybe the sudden activity from the pod was scaring the animals away?
(01/20 12:36:46) DimensionTravelerCalum: Secretly, they called in Douglas Sharper once more to investigate,
(01/20 12:37:03) DimensionTravelerCalum: Nick white told us that upon sharper’s return from his preliminary survey…
(01/20 12:37:11) DimensionTravelerCalum: There was a predator that was killing the animals.
(01/20 12:37:21) DimensionTravelerCalum: And not just for food,
(01/20 12:37:27) DimensionTravelerCalum: But for sport..
(01/20 12:37:36) DimensionTravelerCalum: The Urwin, one of the most massive creatures in the jungle,
(01/20 12:37:43) DimensionTravelerCalum: Many of them were found dead,
(01/20 12:37:48) DimensionTravelerCalum: Simply shredded to pieces.
(01/20 12:37:57) DimensionTravelerCalum: As for the other animals…
(01/20 12:38:02) DimensionTravelerCalum: The left said the better.
(01/20 12:38:08) DimensionTravelerCalum: Explorers were outraged,
(01/20 12:38:12) DimensionTravelerCalum: There was a predator?
(01/20 12:38:18) DimensionTravelerCalum: and the DRC called it “Safe”??
(01/20 12:38:30) DimensionTravelerCalum: Sydney had a field day with it, let me tell you…
(01/20 12:38:43) DimensionTravelerCalum: And the DRC were mad that Nick had spilled the beans~
(01/20 12:39:00) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was really bad for them,
(01/20 12:39:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: Even more so with the next two pods,
(01/20 12:39:11) DimensionTravelerCalum: Dereno and Payiferen,
(01/20 12:39:32) DimensionTravelerCalum: Dereno had been investigated by some ResEngs
(01/20 12:39:41) DimensionTravelerCalum: And found that the local surface animals were killed in the same way,
(01/20 12:39:49) DimensionTravelerCalum: Payiferen too had similar findings,
(01/20 12:39:51) DimensionTravelerCalum: Explorers wondered
(01/20 12:40:03) DimensionTravelerCalum: the same predator on different ages?
(01/20 12:40:05) DimensionTravelerCalum: No.
(01/20 12:40:12) GHMagic leans left
(01/20 12:40:18) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was around Payiferen’s release that Cate left a map in the city,
(01/20 12:40:25) DimensionTravelerCalum: Of the single world the pods resided on.
(01/20 12:40:43) DimensionTravelerCalum: adding to the controversy of the pods,
(01/20 12:40:58) DimensionTravelerCalum: The Explorers spending long periods of time there noticed, without warning,
(01/20 12:41:04) DimensionTravelerCalum: That there was a bahro portal appearing at random~
(01/20 12:41:14) DimensionTravelerCalum: Nobody could figure out what was causing it.
(01/20 12:41:20) DimensionTravelerCalum: Not until Payiferen, anyways,
(01/20 12:41:30) DimensionTravelerCalum: There were portals in those pods too,
(01/20 12:41:44) DimensionTravelerCalum: And so, with that map release, many explorers formed a theory in their minds,
(01/20 12:41:59) DimensionTravelerCalum: And with the confirmation of a fourth pod both from the DRC and through the ring inside that cave…
(01/20 12:42:06) DimensionTravelerCalum: They prepared for the last pod,
(01/20 12:42:10) DimensionTravelerCalum: The confirmation of that theory.
(01/20 12:42:19) DimensionTravelerCalum: It was the most gloomy confirmation any of us ever got.
(01/20 12:42:25) DimensionTravelerCalum: We HATED Tetsonot.
(01/20 12:42:32) DimensionTravelerCalum: The pod reaks of danger!
(01/20 12:42:51) DimensionTravelerCalum: And some other unmentionable smells as welll… XP
(01/20 12:42:53) DimensionTravelerCalum: Bleh.
(01/20 12:42:57) radioflux loves Tetsonot
(01/20 12:43:10) DimensionTravelerCalum: While opinion on the pod has changed over the years,
(01/20 12:43:18) DimensionTravelerCalum: People were in an uproar against the DRC
(01/20 12:43:26) DimensionTravelerCalum: The pods were CLEARLY not safe.
(01/20 12:43:31) DimensionTravelerCalum: Both from a predator standpoint,
(01/20 12:43:40) DimensionTravelerCalum: And from Tetsonot’s ghastly state of “repair”
(01/20 12:43:49) DimensionTravelerCalum: The DRC told us it was safe,
(01/20 12:43:54) DimensionTravelerCalum: Repeatedly,
(01/20 12:44:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: I still refuse to beleive that tetsonot’s safe.
(01/20 12:44:15) DimensionTravelerCalum: It’s just…absurd how they left it.
(01/20 12:44:36) DimensionTravelerCalum: It’s just another mark that the explorers claim to have been left by Cate’s rush for “newnewnew”
(01/20 12:44:52) DimensionTravelerCalum: And so we were divided
(01/20 12:44:55) DimensionTravelerCalum: Heavily,
(01/20 12:45:12) DimensionTravelerCalum: Even though explorers were wary of the Pod’s safety,
(01/20 12:45:17) DimensionTravelerCalum: And of other ages now as well,
(01/20 12:45:28) morning satelite: electricity and water do not mix well
(01/20 12:45:37) DimensionTravelerCalum: The DRC were continuing on their supposedly open and yet “safe” work.
(01/20 12:45:58) DimensionTravelerCalum: Michael Engberg, one of the DRC’s top engineers, brought his daughter down
(01/20 12:46:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: She was as much of an explorer as any of us.
(01/20 12:46:16) DimensionTravelerCalum: And…ironically in the months to come…
(01/20 12:46:29) DimensionTravelerCalum: We’d all somewhat take on more “DRC like” Rolls in trying to keep her safe.
(01/20 12:46:52) DimensionTravelerCalum: “Wheely,” Willow Engberg,
(01/20 12:47:27) DimensionTravelerCalum: many explorers wanted to keep her just as safe as the DRC were claiming to keep us safe.
(01/20 12:47:39) DimensionTravelerCalum: Wheely….well..
(01/20 12:47:48) DimensionTravelerCalum: She just thought everyone was over-reacting.
(01/20 12:48:18) DimensionTravelerCalum: The time span that i’ve covered this week is about six months,
(01/20 12:48:22) DimensionTravelerCalum: Slightly 7,
(01/20 12:48:29) DimensionTravelerCalum: Maybe closer to 8?
(01/20 12:48:31) DimensionTravelerCalum shrugs
(01/20 12:48:36) DimensionTravelerCalum: But in any such case,
(01/20 12:48:43) Alien bids 9
(01/20 12:48:52) DimensionTravelerCalum: Explorers were heavily divided on subjects in the cavern
(01/20 12:48:58) DimensionTravelerCalum: “Are we the predator, or prey?”
(01/20 12:49:01) DimensionTravelerCalum: “Are we safe?”
(01/20 12:49:10) DimensionTravelerCalum: “What is with the DRC?”
(01/20 12:49:18) DimensionTravelerCalum: the list goes on.
(01/20 12:49:30) DimensionTravelerCalum: The Bahro’s, or Yeesha’s, attempts to keep us united didn’t work.
(01/20 12:49:37) DimensionTravelerCalum: Many people would argue during door runs,
(01/20 12:49:42) DimensionTravelerCalum: Or not work together at all.
(01/20 12:49:58) DimensionTravelerCalum: It took someone of a strong nature to keep a run functional then.
(01/20 12:50:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: Still does, on occasion.
(01/20 12:50:23) DimensionTravelerCalum: people still look for the animal population,
(01/20 12:50:28) DimensionTravelerCalum: And it’s still low in numbers,
(01/20 12:50:37) DimensionTravelerCalum: It hasn’t recovered,
(01/20 12:50:40) DimensionTravelerCalum: Probably never will.
(01/20 12:50:51) DimensionTravelerCalum: Unity,
(01/20 12:50:53) DimensionTravelerCalum: Patience,
(01/20 12:51:02) DimensionTravelerCalum: Those were the two ‘journeys’ we’d taken up to this point.
(01/20 12:51:10) DimensionTravelerCalum: But we were still divided.
(01/20 12:51:17) DimensionTravelerCalum: We were still fractured.
(01/20 12:51:24) DimensionTravelerCalum: And we still are.
(01/20 12:51:41) DimensionTravelerCalum: the events that would happen over the remaining months of the second restoration…
(01/20 12:51:46) DimensionTravelerCalum: They didn’t do much to bring us together.
(01/20 12:51:53) DimensionTravelerCalum: People were fools,
(01/20 12:51:59) DimensionTravelerCalum: People were geniuses
(01/20 12:52:02) DimensionTravelerCalum: People were people.
(01/20 12:52:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: We couldn’t get along,
(01/20 12:52:13) DimensionTravelerCalum: Not well enough.
(01/20 12:52:24) DimensionTravelerCalum: We still look for people we can blame,
(01/20 12:52:31) DimensionTravelerCalum: We still look for things we can argue about.
(01/20 12:52:44) DimensionTravelerCalum: We still have no strong unity.
(01/20 12:52:52) DimensionTravelerCalum: And all because of that blasted phrase.
(01/20 12:52:57) DimensionTravelerCalum: “Alone or Together.”
(01/20 12:53:13) DimensionTravelerCalum: And so as the gears of time set to repeat themselves again,
(01/20 12:53:23) DimensionTravelerCalum: I ask you all to consider what you’ve heard,
(01/20 12:53:31) DimensionTravelerCalum: What we will continue to learn,
(01/20 12:53:41) DimensionTravelerCalum: And will always eventually forget….
(01/20 12:53:48) DimensionTravelerCalum: But still remember.
(01/20 12:53:56) DimensionTravelerCalum: We all come from different walks of life.
(01/20 12:54:02) DimensionTravelerCalum: We all represent different countries,
(01/20 12:54:04) DimensionTravelerCalum: Life times,
(01/20 12:54:06) DimensionTravelerCalum: Experiences,
(01/20 12:54:21) DimensionTravelerCalum: many of us who lived through these times are no longer here,
(01/20 12:54:27) DimensionTravelerCalum: And so those that have not been through it,
(01/20 12:54:36) DimensionTravelerCalum: They repeat what they don’t know already happened.
(01/20 12:54:44) DimensionTravelerCalum: But isnt that what history is all about?
(01/20 12:54:51) DimensionTravelerCalum: Informing people so we DONT make the same mistakes?
(01/20 12:55:03) DimensionTravelerCalum: I don’t know,
(01/20 12:55:09) DimensionTravelerCalum: That’s all up to you to decide.
(01/20 12:55:18) DimensionTravelerCalum: it’s always up to the people to unite together,
(01/20 12:55:33) DimensionTravelerCalum: And it’s ALWAYS up to them to do what they think is right in the heat of the moment.
(01/20 12:55:36) DimensionTravelerCalum: But in retrospect,
(01/20 12:55:43) DimensionTravelerCalum: It’s not always obvious.
(01/20 12:55:53) DimensionTravelerCalum: several times in human history,
(01/20 12:55:58) DimensionTravelerCalum: Events were acted upon,
(01/20 12:56:03) DimensionTravelerCalum: Being the right thing to do then,
(01/20 12:56:06) DimensionTravelerCalum: But when looked upon,
(01/20 12:56:15) DimensionTravelerCalum: People see the things that could have been done,
(01/20 12:56:23) DimensionTravelerCalum: Having the ‘benefit’ of understanding more information,
(01/20 12:56:32) DimensionTravelerCalum: And looking at it all in hindsight.
(01/20 12:56:42) DimensionTravelerCalum: So as i close tonight’s Heritage Night,
(01/20 12:56:49) DimensionTravelerCalum: And I see the scars of history’s past,
(01/20 12:56:59) DimensionTravelerCalum: And the tears and fissures that will form new scars.
(01/20 12:57:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: I think quietly,
(01/20 12:57:23) DimensionTravelerCalum: How do we navigate this landscape of time’s sand,
(01/20 12:57:29) DimensionTravelerCalum: And scared land scrapes?
(01/20 12:57:36) DimensionTravelerCalum: How do we find our paths?
(01/20 12:57:40) DimensionTravelerCalum: In the stars?
(01/20 12:57:46) DimensionTravelerCalum: In the points of history?
(01/20 12:58:08) DimensionTravelerCalum: How can we live without retracing the lines of the past?
(01/20 12:58:10) DimensionTravelerCalum bows

We need more access, we need the bottom “floor” of the library opened!
